Today’s presenter is Theresa Rooney.Theresa has been a certified Hennepin County Master Gardener HCMG since 2000. She is active in the HCMG Speakers Bureau, Leadership Team, In-service Committee, and Awards Recognition Committee and is the Garden Center Coordinator and a University of Minnesota Tree Care Advisor. In previous years she was active on the Garden Tour Committee and with Habitat for Humanity.Her personal interests and expertise are vegetable/fruit/edible landscaping, permaculture, sustainable gardening, shade plants, and trees. (and chickens!)
Theresa is on Team Edible Landscaping, and Team Fall Lawn and Garden Care with the HCMG Speakers Bureau.
She loves to answer gardening questions and talk ‘all things gardening’ whenever possible and can often be heard on the “Denny Long, Smart Gardening Radio Show on WCCO” along with other Master Gardeners and University of Minnesota Guests. You may also see her on the “Dirt Stage” at the Minnesota State Fair.
As a Hennepin County Master Gardener she has received the 2013 Archie Caple Award (for distinguished gardening and unselfish contributions to the gardening community, this is the highest award given to HCMGs), the 2010 Dazzling Daisy Award (Presenter award) and is a multiple time recipient of Outstanding Teamwork award.
Outside of Master Gardening she is the author of “The Guide to Humane Critter Control”
