Secure an hour of time with Our expert Parent Educator Kathy Matthews. Kathy will customize your hour to fit your needs and topic. Rate of $35 is per hour.
Have you ever wanted to talk to a real agent or publisher? Are you tired of having your manuscripts critiqued by non-professionals or paying an editor too much money to change your writing to their voice? Email one page of your in-progress manuscript for an in-class critique of one page of your poetry, article, short story, screenplay, novel, non-fiction book, or children’s book. (Optional: You can then send your manuscript for a professional critique (for a critique fee of $50 for up to 25 double-spaced pages + $1/page thereafter, and a list of publishers/agents who are interested in your type of work.) Informative handouts for future use are included in class fee. The instructor LeeAnne Krusemark is a former journalist, current author and editor, and a nationwide Professor of Publishing at higher learning institutions, including Harvard Adult Education. As this course will be taught virtually, you will need access to video and audio on a computer, tablet or phone with internet connection. This class will be held on Zoom, which is free to use. The Zoom link will be emailed to you prior to the first day of class.
LeeAnne Krusemark is an adjunct online Professor of Publishing for Harvard and more than 1,000 facilities worldwide, and is a nationwide speaker on the topics of entrepreneurship and publishing. Her in-person lectures have been offered at more than 200 facilities nationwide, including Purdue, and she has been asked to speak at a Senate-sponsored business conference as well as for the Department of the Army. In addition, LeeAnne has owned a successful award-winning public relations business for more than 20 years and is a Chamber of Commerce past president. She is also a former journalist, editor, and managing editor of newspapers, as well as an author of countless magazine articles and several books, some of which can be found on Amazon. LeeAnne has also recently authored a screenplay that Hallmark has expressed an interest in, and has started representing other writers as an editor and agent. The inspiration she gives to others has even been compared in writing to Oprah!
