Step right up, young food enthusiasts! In this exciting cooking class, we'll bring the magic of the Minnesota State Fair into the kitchen, teaching kids how to recreate some of the fair's most beloved treats. Throughout the class, young chefs will practice essential kitchen skills, including measuring, mixing, frying safety, and baking techniques. They'll also explore the rich culinary traditions of the Minnesota State Fair, learning fun facts about each dish's history and significance. This course is taught by a Community Education Instructor who is hired by Eden Prairie Schools.

It’s time to host the ultimate Dinner Party! In this hands-on cooking class, young chefs will learn how to prepare a delicious, well-balanced meal from start to finish. From appetizers to main courses and even a tasty dessert, kids will gain essential kitchen skills while creating a meal perfect for sharing. They’ll practice chopping, sautéing, baking, and plating techniques to make their dishes look and taste amazing. Whether they dream of being a chef or just love to cook, this class is all about teamwork, creativity, and fun in the kitchen! This course is taught by a Community Education Instructor who is hired by Eden Prairie Schools.

Join us for an engaging field trip that blends education with excitement, offering students an immersive experience they'll never forget. During this interactive learning adventure, students will dive into the physics of flight through demonstrations and engaging STEM presentations. Students will explore the principles of aerodynamics, learning how factors like air resistance and body position impact their ability to soar through the sky. But the excitement doesn't stop there! With hands-on activities that bring science to life, students will experiment with the forces that govern flight and under the guidance of a certified instructor experience firsthand the thrill of defying gravity! What to bring: Sneakers or athletic shoes. No flip flops, sandals, boots or crocs allowed Athletic clothing Packed lunch Water bottle We also ask that those with long hair make sure to secure it in a way that is safe from getting tangled during the flight simulation (pony tail, braids etc.). Tentative Schedule: 9:45-10:15 am - Parent/Guardian Drop off at CMS 10:30 am - Depart CMS 11:00 am - Arrive at iFLY 11:00 am-2:30 pm - Field Trip at iFLY (Student's need to bring a non-refridgerated lunch.) 2:30 pm - Depart iFLY 3:00 pm - Arrive back at CMS & Parent/Guardian Pick Up
