  • Introduction to Pickleball

    Curious about Pickleball? Join us for a fun and interactive class to help you feel prepared to give this popular sport a try! This 3-part class has been designed for those who have never played the game of Pickleball. Learn the fundamentals and practice these basics in a non-judgmental environment. We will cover: Court management Playing area The non-volley zone (The Kitchen) Scoring & rules of the game Basic stance and how to hold the paddle Basic strokes – underhand, overhand, forehand, and backhand Serve, return, and third shots Dinking No need to bring your own paddle, but feel free to do so. Dress for movement and get ready for some fun!
  • Open Play Pickleball

    Come play Pickleball! Join us for casual and non-competitive pick-up play and get to know some of your fellow Eden Prairie community members. Various ability levels welcome, though players must know rules and have some familiarity with the game. Due to the tightness of the courts and the wood floors, this offering may not be well suited for expert players. Pre-registration is REQUIRED as spots are limited. Registration is per person. Open play will be facilitated by a local Pickleball expert.
  • Tai Chi Ruler & Qigong

    The Tai Chi Ruler form is an ancient and gentle, yet powerful, exercise of Taoist origin. It is a unique method of cultivating Qi (internal energy) because it uses an external object (the Ruler) to aid in its development. Ruler exercises can be used for improving flexibility, focus, calming the mind, and moving energy throughout the body. In addition, it requires very little space and no special skills. Can be done sitting or standing and is appropriate for all levels of fitness.
