Africa! Come join us as we learn about the physical and social geography of this magnificent continent. In this class you will learn about the culture, geography, and animals of Africa. Each student will become an expert on an African animal of their choice. You will research and write about this animal. Finally, you will create a poster to demonstrate your learning on an animal that calls Africa home. This is a reading-focused Targeted Services class

Learn to follow a plan to act quickly and effectively in a life-threatening situation. You will be trained in CPR and Airway Obstruction for adults, children, and infants by practicing your skills with manikins and AED (Automated External Defibrillators) trainers. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing and lifting. Please inform your instructor if you have any physical conditions that might prevent these activities. Consider bringing a pad or blanket to kneel on. Additionally, this course covers first aid. Learn a plan of action to recognize and deal with sudden illnesses, injuries, and environmental emergencies. This video-based, instructor-led course teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. Successful participation in this all in-person course results in an American Heart Association ‎Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED ‎Heartsaver® Certification. The Certificate is valid for two years. The course is the same for first timers and those who are recertifying. Note: We are back to fully in-person training. There is no e-Learning component to this course.

Discover what AI is all about and explore its various applications in today's world. Learn about AI the fascinating possibilities it holds. Python is a text-based language, so students should have good keyboarding and basic computer skills. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day.

We will learn about how to read, write and order decimals used for percentages, how to calculate averages, analyze players' data charts, and more. As mentioned before, students will also participate in the sports to later calculate data for their own performance. We will put the math to work! This is a math-focused Targeted Services class.

DASH Sports Summer Athleticism camps provide participants with an overall athleticism building camp experience including speed training, agility, endurance, body control/balance, quickness, strength, power, and jumping. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall athletic performance. Campers should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle, snack, and wear athletic clothing and shoes.

Using the LEGO® WeDo® 2.0 system, ignite the STEM spark in your child with this amazing camp. We are passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math and want to instill this in your child too. Fostering their natural curiosity, kids, working in pairs, will explore logic, pattern recognition, and math concepts as they are challenged to build increasingly sophisticated designs. As they do so, they’ll also develop basic programming techniques using custom-made programming blocks in PCs. They will have hands-on experience effectively using gears, axles, and connector blocks in the robotic challenges. (No LEGO® is taken home)
