Eden Prairie Community Education

Longtime Eden Prairie resident Tom Juhnke has playing Pickleball since 2013 and has extensive experience playing recreationally and in tournaments, at both local and national events. His formal training was under Mark Renneson, one of the nation's most recognized pickleball coaches. Tom comes to Community Ed with an adult training background. He combines several techniques to teach the many different styles that are needed to meet different student learning needs. As a training manager at Southwest Transit, he developed and facilitated customer service and safety training courses for all employees and trained transit trainers on a national basis once a year. In addition to 40 years of coaching girls and boys soccer, girls softball, boys baseball, hockey, or football, Tom has more than 20 years of experience as a 5th degree martial arts instructor with American Karate Studio. He instructed students from their white belt through 4th degree black belt and from age 5 to 55, teaching open handed form, weapons form, and fighting. Tom's objective is to share his passion for Pickleball and teaching with the Eden Prairie community.
