In this fun-filled course, young writers will embark on adventures through their favorite fairytales and folktales. Using a standards-based literacy approach through interactive and engaging activities, students will unleash their creativity by crafting their own tales of whimsy and wonder. From mythical creatures to daring heroes, every child's imagination will come to life as they explore the art of storytelling!

Hello! My name is Maiana Bowman and I have over 5 years of teaching experience. I have my Master's Degree in Education and I have worked as both an academic interventionist and classroom teacher. Both of these roles have taught me the importance of creating enriching experiences that support each student's specific learning style and builds off of the knowledge they bring to the classroom. I aim to create learning experiences that promote self-exploration and community building along with academic and social emotional growth. I love teaching and look forward to working with students this summer!
A few of my favorite things are animals, books, and spending time in the sun. I have two cats and dog and I bring them outside as much as possible! I love coffee and anything that is sweet!
