This summer course is for the young learners. It is designed to ignite and reinforce their love for reading and writing in Spanish for 2nd to 4th grade students. Throughout this adventure-filled course, children will embark on a journey of discovery through engaging stories and creative writing activities.
My name is Paola Tavera Kobielush. I am originally from Lima, Peru where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and my master’s degree in Learning Disabilities. Before coming to the U.S., I taught elementary school in Peru for six years. I have been teaching at EHSI for fifteen years. I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade.
I have a wonderful family here and much of my extended family lives in Peru. I am married to my husband Sam and we have a fifteen-year-old son, David Luis, who is in 10th grade at South West Christian High School. We also have a dog named Gigi, she is active and very playful, and a goldendoodle puppy named Sami; he is very energetic and loving. I am part of a Peruvian Dance Group called Mi Perú-Minnesota. Additionally, in my free time I dance traditional music from my home country and watch romantic comedies.I am looking forward to having fun together reading, talking and doing fun activities.
