    This class is designed for people with no previous German experience. The topics we will discuss include greetings, family, friends, shopping, and food. We will meet weekly on Zoom and use the course, Die neue Linie 1 A1.1 and the Google Classroom learning management system. Instructions for ordering the required book will be sent in the in the confirmation email.
  • German Seminar (Online)

    Continue to explore the culture, people, and language of the German-speaking world! This class is designed for people who have completed German III or who have more extensive previous German experience. We focus on three activities: sharing short German texts, discussing stories from a reader, and watching German films. We will meet weekly on Zoom and use the Schoology learning management system. If you have questions, please contact the instructor, Martin Hidy, at mahidy@msn.com. New participants are welcome to join throughout the semester by calling the Community Education Office at 952-975-6940. As this course will be taught virtually, you will need access to video and audio on a computer, tablet or smartphone with internet connection. Zoom is free to use. The Zoom link will be emailed to you prior to class.
  • Spanish 3 (Seniors 55+)

    In Level 3 of our Spanish course, we will focus on enhancing conversational skills through interactive discussions, real-life scenarios, and guided practice. Students will expand their vocabulary, learn to use both regular and irregular verbs effectively, and refine their sentence-building abilities. Emphasis will be placed on improving fluency, pronunciation and confidence, allowing learners to engage in more dynamic and natural conversations in Spanish. **This class is for Seniors who are 55+ and have completed Beginner Spanish Lev. 2 with Jorge Matheus.
