Classroom and behind-the-wheel lessons emphasize defensive driving techniques tailored for the inexperienced teen driver while targeting to influence the invincible teen attitude. All of Safeway’s instructors are licensed by the Minnesota Dept. of Public Safety. Distance Learning is provided through a secure Zoom platform. State rules require each student to have an audio and video connection to the class. Students are expected to be present during the lessons and participate via Zoom chat. Attendance will be monitored and students must be involved for the entire class. Parents, please make sure your student has an environment that allows them to be uninterrupted for the three-hour class. Class materials can be picked up at the Eden Prairie Community Center or printed out at home. Parent involvement is required to produce safe, responsible teen drivers.
