    Join us for Civics with Cwod! Consider taking all four weeks of this American history course in order to provide yourself with a reminder of our rights as well as our responsibilities as American Citizens. You will never regret it. Most of the course will be an in depth analysis and study of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Both documents will be provided to all participants. Critical Period 1775-1791 We will go back to a time that was a cornerstone of American (World) History. It all started here. We will begin with “the shot heard around the world” at Lexington and Concord. We will then move on to an examination of the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation, and the lessons they offer us today. During the second half of the evening we will examine the Constitutional Convention and the resulting US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Consider this class a refresher course on citizenry. This evening’s history lesson will lay the foundation for the next three weeks. Other courses in this series include Our U.S. Congress, The Office of the President, and The U.S. Supreme Court and the Bill of Rights.

    This class will be an historical overview of British Monarchs from the House of Wessex when King Egbert ascended the throne through the House of Windsor which came to power in 1910 with the crowning of King George V, the current Queen Elizabeth II's grandfather. We will discuss the current monarch, Queen Elizabeth II and who is in line for the throne following her reign.
