Designed for boys and girls, ages 10-16 this 8 hour course will cover age-specific child care and development, safety, basic first-aid, plus, how to find jobs, communicate with parents and run your own babysitting business! Fashion Engineers is designed for those who love creating their own brand of style. We think the real magic of fashion & beauty is how science, technology, engineering & math are part of the whole process of developing your own style. Following the steps of the Engineering Design Process, you will learn basic sewing skills, creating a pattern and sketching your design. On the last day, you and your team will design and create a solution to an engineering challenge and present your creation as you walk down our runway!

Full Day Off-Site Experience: State Capitol - Taking Issue, Making a Stand Students will be given a 2 hour tour of the Capitol to find out how and where citizens get involved in government, then conduct their own legislative hearing to debate a real issue. What this short video to preview field trip's at the State Capitol. We will be having picnic lunch at the capitol following the tour. Please arrive to CMS by 9:00am. We will depart CMS at 9:15am and return by 1:00pm. Please bring a water bottle and bag lunch. Full Days are open from 7:30am - 5:00pm. Experiences within each day will be at varied times. You may cancel a full day experience at any time up to 7 calendar days in advance. You will be charged a $5 cancelation fee, but will receive a full refund for the course.
