  • Festive Spring Salads

    Head into spring with a Wild Rice and Breast of Chicken Salad or Wild Rice with Fresh Mushrooms and Cashews.  We will also feature a vegetarian main dish salad using multi-colored peppers and the unique grain, Quinoa.  What could be more refreshing than fruit - a salad combination of cantaloupe and strawberries with an orange sauce.  Equally as pretty is Raspberry-Spinach Salad with Glazed Pecans.  Then round out the evening with 3 easy dressings for your favorite combination of assorted garden greens - Feta Cheese, Creamy Blue Cheese and Orange Dressing.  You will be ready for family and friends and spring!  Cost of food ($13) will be collected at class. 
  • Great MN Hot Dishes

    Join us to create up to 15 sensational dishes baked in your oven using a single piece of cookware.  We will use fresh ingredients (no canned soups) and do easy preparation for a family meal or make impressive elegant company fare for friends or crowd-pleasing recipes for pot luck. Many of these hot dishes can be made ahead, chilled and then baked, Cost of food ($15) will be collected at class.

    You'll begin class learning to prepare authentic Italian pizza dough and sauce which you'll transform into your own creation.  Next you'll prepare Vermicelli Napoletana with fresh basil, plum tomatoes, garlic and parmesan chesse.
  • Spring Treats

    All of those Spring festivities will be here before you know it.  Nancy will assist you in getting ready for a little of this and a little of that.  From cookie and bread ideas to simple cakes, you'll be up and running in no time.  This class will consist of demonstration and hands on.  Each student will take home a small box of their goodies.  Supply fee of $14 paid to instructor in class.
  • Springtime Cookie Art with Colorful Fondant

    Are you looking for a creative class?  Have you ever used fondant to decorate cookies?  Fondant is a pliable and edible icing used to create festive designs.  Learn how to roll, cut and sculpt colorful fondant into a wide variety of shapes and sizes.  Have fun attaching your decorative fondant to cookies to create festive springtime designs!
  • Tex Mex

    You'll begin learning to prepare authentic Mexican rice, prepared with onions, garlic, tomatoes and fresh coriander leaves.  Next you'll make fajitas made with tender grilled chicken breasts, fresh sautéed bell pepper and onion, wrapped in a warm tortilla shell.  Condiments will include guacamole, salsa fresca and sour cream.  We'll finish with Crème Brulee, rich, creamy custard with a crusty caramel glaze.
  • The Art of Sushi

    This class begins with the preparation of Sushi rice.  You'll then learn the art of  "maki-sushi" rolling the rice and various fillings in and around nori (dried seaweed sheets).  Options and accompaniments will include shrimp, chicken, crab, avocado, cucumber, tempura onions, cream chess, spicy mayo, ell sauce, pickled ginger, wasabi and soy sauce.
