  • American Heart Association CPR/AED and/or First Aid Certification-Blended eLearning + August 21 Skills Test

    Learn to follow a plan to act quickly and effectively in a life-threatening situation. Whether you’re a childcare provider, school employee, healthcare provider, or a community member who wants to get certified, we have a blended learning class for you and can meet your certification needs! We offer Heartsaver CPR/AED, First Aid, both CPR/AED & First Aid, Pediatric CPR & First Aid, and BLS. Please note the various sections offered and register for the one that best meets your needs. For specifics on the course content of each section, visit the American Heart Association's website (www.heart.org/cpr). The eLearning portion of this class and is designed to teach you the cognitive information needed to learn the lifesaving skills. Participants will need an email address and a computer (desktop and/or laptop). The online portion cannot be completed with a smartphone. Once registered, an Eden Prairie School Community Education staff member will send you via email the online course code/link for you to complete the online portion. Please allow adequate time (2-4 hours, depending on the course) to complete the eLearning course prior to coming in for your skills evaluation. Upon completion of the online portion, you must pass the in-person skills evaluation with the American Heart Association Heartsaver Instructor. The in-person skills evaluation will be held at the Education Center (8040 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie). You will need to bring your certificate of completion from the online portion when you attend the in-person skills evaluation. Please keep your eye out for the course confirmation email for details on health guidelines we are following to keep participants and staff safe. After the skills evaluation, you will be issued an American Heart Association Certification e-Card that corresponds with the course you completed and the type of certification needed.
