  • Learning Through Baseball - Science Tour at Target Field

    Our Learning Through Baseball program provides an exceptional and unique educational experience from the one-of-a-kind classroom setting that is Target Field. Our knowledgeable staff conveys baseball's beauty through a fun curriculum, which adheres to Minnesota K-12 academic standards, that students will engage with and enjoy. The program includes a 90-minute tour of the ballpark and a 30-minute classroom learning session. The game of baseball is loaded with the principles of science. In this tour and class, participants will learn about the energy efficiency of Target Field, the physics and science of baseball, and much more! There will be hands-on activities, such as reaction time, potential vs. kinetic energy, and the exciting opportunity to step to the plate and take a swing inside a major league batting cage! All classes are geared to meet the Minnesota State Standards. At the conclusion of our tour, lunch will take place on the Target Field Plaza. What to bring: Sneakers or athletic shoes.   • IFLY - Indoor Skydiving

    Join us for an engaging field trip that blends education with excitement, offering students an immersive experience they'll never forget. During this interactive learning adventure, students will dive into the physics of flight through demonstrations and engaging STEM presentations. Students will explore the principles of aerodynamics, learning how factors like air resistance and body position impact their ability to soar through the sky. But the excitement doesn't stop there! With hands-on activities that bring science to life, students will experiment with the forces that govern flight and under the guidance of a certified instructor experience firsthand the thrill of defying gravity! What to bring: Sneakers or athletic shoes. No flip flops, sandals, boots or crocs allowed Athletic clothing Packed lunch Water bottle We also ask that those with long hair make sure to secure it in a way that is safe from getting tangled during the flight simulation (pony tail, braids etc.).   • Basecamp Rock Climbing and Archery

    Embark on an unforgettable adventure at Base Camp, where participants will challenge their physical skills and mental focus through two signature activities: archery and rock climbing. In any weather, the 15-yard indoor archery range is perfect for both beginners and seasoned archers to develop precision, control, and concentration. All necessary equipment, instruction, and coaching are provided by our trained staff, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. The adventure continues with a climb on Base Camp’s 30-foot indoor rock wall, featuring 16 belayed routes inspired by the natural rock formations of the St. Croix River bluffs. Climbers of all skill levels will enjoy scaling the wall while working together as a team to ensure safety and success. With all safety equipment and facilitation provided, participants can focus on trust, communication, and personal achievement. Waivers are required to attend this field trip.     Learn what it takes to survive the elements from our skilled staff. Activities are offered year-round and cover important topics, including the principles of survival, proper techniques for starting fires, building improvised shelter structures, and orienteering with a map and compass. Waivers are required to attend this field trip. We will send out a waiver via email prior to the field trip day. What to bring: Sneakers or athletic shoes.
