    Using an Air Fryer to cook vegetables is quick—and the healthy results are delicious! In this live online class Kirsten will demonstrate a variety of recipes using in-season local and/or commonly available vegetables including Lemon Pepper Broccoli, Miso Sesame Kale Chips, and Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can cook along at your convenience. As this course will be taught virtually, you will need access to video and audio on a computer, tablet or smartphone with internet connection.   • Cookie Bake & Take: Four Famous Ethnic Cookies

    Impress family and friends with these beautiful cookies for the holidays! Create the rolled Norwegian Krumkakes made with cream, butter, and cinnamon or sometimes flavored with vanilla. For generations, Minnesotans have purchased their irons to bake krumkakes from local manufacturer Nordic Ware in St. Louis Park. Italian Pizzelles are also baked on the top of the stove using an iron but are a flat, anise-flavored cookie or they also may be flavored with vanilla. The chewy, almond Swedish Sandbakkelse are delicate golden brown in color and are baked in tiny tins to resemble tarts. Finally, we will master deep fried Rosettes - those exceedingly fragile, paper thin Scandinavian delicacies dusted with confectioners' sugar. Expect great recipes plus the many tips and techniques that will make your baking a success! **An ingredients fee of $14 is payable to the instructor at class. Please also bring containers to take home cookies. Ages 14+ only, please.

    Spring into fresh flavors with Kirsten in this live online cooking class. We’ll start by preparing a grain base and a protein and while those are cooking we’ll make a sauce and some fresh sides, then assemble everything to enjoy now OR pack separately for meal prep.     Join Kirsten and Megan for a fun, hands-on cooking session where you'll prep delicious entrees right from your own kitchen! While assembling meals together, you’ll learn practical meal planning strategies and make-ahead tips to save time during busy weeks. You'll receive a detailed shopping list and recipe packet ahead of time—including plenty of options for gluten-free, dairy-free, and meatless diets. A recording will be sent after class so you can prep at your own pace.
  • Japanese Miso Ramen from Scratch with Ploy (Online)

    This class is not about instant ramen. In fact, we will be making Japanese miso ramen from scratch. We will start with making ramen noodles from scratch. Then, we’ll braise cha shu chicken and make miso broth. We will serve our ramen with marinated soft-boiled eggs and different toppings.
  • Korean Kitchen with Ploy (Online)

    One of the most healthful of the Asian cuisines, delicious Korean cuisine features mainly vegetables and harmonized sauces. In this online interactive class, we will make delicious kimchi stew (kimchi jiigae) and stir-fried sweet potato noodles with beef (japchae). We will finish up the class with Korean apple tea with ginger and cinnamon (SuJeongGwa).

    Kolaches are one of Czechoslovakia’s most beloved national pastries—egg-rich, slightly sweet yeast dough filled with delicious fruit or cheese. Brought to the Midwest by Czech immigrants as early as the 1860s, these Old World treats are still treasured today. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make authentic kolaches with a variety of traditional fillings like apricot, poppy seed, cottage cheese, and prune. We’ll explore different shapes, from classic rounds to tied squares and turnovers, while sharing samples along the way. You’ll go home with an assortment to enjoy or freeze, plus a packet of time-tested recipes, tips, and techniques to keep the tradition alive in your own kitchen.
